Remember that famous Louie Armstrong classic? (Okay, if you’re like me, you only remember it from an Apple iPhone commercial several years ago or maybe a Seinfeld rerun.) But that great old tune is just one of many reminders we have of the value of a smile. That’s why my staff and I work so hard to help our patients protect and enhance one of their most precious gifts – a beautiful smile.

While the cost of orthodontic treatment is temporary, your new smile can last a lifetime with proper care. We offer may different payment options, and we will work hard to make sure your orthodontic treatment is as affordable as possible.

Let me begin by answering a few of the most-often asked questions.

Where do I start?

First, you can take advantage of our “new patient” privilege at Schatz Orthodontics – a free initial consultation. If it is determined that you would benefit from orthodontic treatment, such as braces, my staff and I will work closely with you to map out a treatment plan so that you will know up front what lies ahead.

How much will braces cost?

Just as we customize the treatment plan for each of our patients, the cost of treatment varies with the varying complexity of the care we provide. Our staff would be happy to talk with you to create an individualized financial plan for your treatment that meets your needs.

We offer multiple discounted treatment fees for those serving in the U.S. military and for first responders (firefighters and police). Fees are also discounted for families with multiple family members receiving treatment.

How will I pay for braces?

The first step is to visit with my knowledgeable staff about the options available to you since every situation is a little different. We will work closely with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget, and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.

You may have dental insurance that will pay a portion. You may have a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account that you can tap for some or all of the costs. We work with most dental insurance plans, and we accept most major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget, and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.

If you have insurance that will be covering any portion of your orthodontic treatment, our office staff is always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork. Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage; and, how we can help to make your entire orthodontic experience a pleasant one.

Also, you may want to take advantage of our discounted fee with full payment or our in-house financing, which is offered to our patients interest free and a great way to pay for braces.
